And last coin. I took quite a risk while bidding on this auction since there was only one bad picture at auction site. Thank you for looking and I hope this isn't expensive lesson for me.

Did you check them with a magnet yet? That's the first thing I would do. Then weigh them.

I did check. Coins don't stick to magnet and weight is ranging from 26,77g to 26,82g.

i agree that hairlines do not necessarily mean cleaned however when they are on the actual devices they do. this coin was cleaned or polished with an abrasive. MS details

I have this one net graded to an AU55-AU58. This is such a common dated CC, that I'm hoping you didn't go above $150 for this example. Nice coin nonetheless.

I paid 138$ for 5 Morgan dollars so techically I paid 27,6$ for this one.

I think he bough this in a lot of 5 morgans almost sight unseen for $138. Seller pics didn't give a lot of details. I think he did well from the far away land of one month long summers.

True, but the lack of mint frost and cartwheel luster does show the surface was tampered with.

This one looks like a mishandled Unc. AU-58, but you got it for a great price.
