Hey there..
I am thinking of starting a US Presidential dollar Series.
I know this is a pretty recent series, and probably no real "collectors value" here, but I just honestly like the way these coins look, and think they would look nice in a Dansco Album.

I will probably go for a Dansco Album with BU coins, and then a separate album of the "Proof Sets" (I like keeping proofs in their sets.. just my thing.. at least for now..).

So, I know that the US State Quarters series is now "completed", but is the US Presidential dollars series "complete", or are there still more being released (like the ATB Quarters that are still being released).

Thanks.

The series is complete. They did not include Carter or anyone after Reagan because they're all still alive (a condition of the authorizing bill is that the person be deceased for at least two years). It would take another authorization from Congress to add any more coins to the series.

I think it's more likely that the OP wasn't sure if they've made it to Reagan yet (since after the switch to smaller mintages a few years back the new small dollars became even rarer in circulation).

For the record, yes, they did (a few months ago, in 2016).

OK.. thanks..

Looks like a set I may want to put together that won't be too challenging..

Doesn't look like any of the coins are that much above face value..

Thanks!

Most of the Presidential dollars are very affordable and readily available. However there are two coins in the series that will set you back a bit. They are the reverse proof Truman and the reverse proof Eisenhower. Each of these coins has a Mintage under 17,000

and enjoy putting this series together.

I used a CAPS album and did a proof only set.
It turned out nice.
