Who offers the best rates for melting 40% silver coins for each of these 3 regions: Southwest USA, North East USA, Midwest USA

AND Who has the lowest minimum requirements?

And who has the best service, rates and requirements ANYWHERE in the us?

Thanks

Don't expect much for the 40% silver - the process for extracting copper from the rest of the silver just makes it more expensive to do so and there will be much less premium for it. I'm sure it's worth a few dollars but don't expect to make fortune from it.

And typically, you're not selling to an actual silver refiner. If/when they do melt coin, it probably involves huge quantities to be cost-effective. I don't know about that end of the industry, so I think your best bet for spot prices on coin is a dealer. They typically buy it and turn it around to the next guy hoping to get a small margin--and so on. So does it ever get melted?
