For one roll, I think USPS First Class package. If you need, you can add Insurance and it comes with tracking.
If multiple rolls, then a USPS Small Flat Rate box and it comes with tracking and $50 insurance.

Agree with spruett. One roll in a bubble mailer sent USPS first class parcel is about $3.00. Two rolls is about $4.00. Anything more should be sent USPS priority mail small flat rate box for about $7.00.

In most cases it is more expensive to mail a single roll of common wheaties than the coins are worth.

Fuzzy, Just one or two rolls at a time. If I send it USPS in a bubble envelope, first class, the post office said that it couldn't be any thicker than 1/4 inch. So do I lay them out flat and use alot of tape? That seemed counter intuitive.
Priority, well I might as well use the small box but at over 7.00, that seemed to be way too much.
Any bright ideas?

USPS first class letter has to be less than 1/4" thick, but you need to mail first class parcel (small package), which is for thicker packages. That's about $3.00 for one roll in a bubble envelope.

Ex carrier here...best way is small bubble wrap mailer. Go to counter at PO to mail, they will process and insure/track # if you wish. As stated above @$3 or less. I would suggest 1) use extra padding if using plastic tubes, 2) tape up ends/caps 3) extra tape to seal envelope. Yea the 1/4" is for letter size, just mailed 4 letters w/ 3 coins in plastic bags w/ paper surrounding...3 made it, one returned w/ "non-maChinable" reject, go figure?
If mailing more than 2, use flat rate small box $6.80.
