Ok, so I recently happened upon 2 1909 S VDBs and I sent them off with 8 other coins to be graded by ANACS with their special offer. I am a young numismatist and am quite impatient (especially when I have $1000+ in Colorado)! So how long does it take for an economy service? Edited by coinlover1899 02/28/2017 10:39 pm

Wow, how fortunate you are. Just my opinion, but enjoy the wait, this is the fun part. Once you get the grades, it's on to the next hunt. Usually takes a couple of weeks, maybe three at the outside. Remember, no refreshing your browser more than once per hour while you wait

The tier you picked defines the standard turn-around. If you picked economy (cheaper that 15 day), well it will be longer than 15 days - plus shipping to/from. Give it a month.

Last time, I picked up and my coins took 4 business days on the 15 day service.

The ANACS special only applies to coins valued $500 or less (and it expired today - FEB-28th).

I sent it off earlier this month, and the 1909 S VDBs weren't the best coins (I will post pictures in classic coin forum when I get them) and the rest wasn't worth over $500 per coin. So, I fit the requirements.

I submitted a number of coins back in the fall when they had their 15 for $139 special. The coins were handed over to an ANACS representative on 10/23/16. I received them back on 12/5/16.

Would you be interested in selling a 1909 S VDB?

You guess.
Or you use the red books, and try grading the coins yourself.

Never mind about ANACS online status. They admit it is up to a week behind! I'm PMing you the phone number to call of the department to call if you actually want to know what grades. You did see my warning about ANACS' picture service right?

Quote: You did see my warning about ANACS' picture service right? Were you the one that was disappointed with their pictures, and you posted their pictures on CCF? Man, they were horrible. So, no, I did not use their picture service.
