After sorting and going through a relatively large bag of nickels I got a while ago I was able to find quite a few different ones that lined up with the photos on the coinsandcanada website under "more errors and varieties". I will probably hang onto the 1947 dot and 1957 bug tail as those seem to be more commonly collected. I picked out the rest more or less just for fun but they don't quite fit in with the rest of my collection so I am on the fence about keeping them. I have tried searching through ebay completed listings for an idea on value but wasn't able to find much. Are any of the other varieties I found worth much?

Here is a list of what I found:
1940 - Die Crack at left of reverse
1940 - Die Crack Top of Obverse
1941 - Double CANADA
1943 - Die Crack under king
1943 - Die Crack under king
1943 - Die Crack under left leaf
1943 - Die Crack under left leaf
1944 - Die Crack on left leaf
1945 - Die Crack above D in CANADA
1945 - Die Crack above N in CANADA
1946 - Die Clash behind the king
1947 - Dot
1951 - Double CENTS
1957 - Bug Tail
1965 - Die Clash around beaver
1968 - Dot between 6 and 8
1968 - Dot on beavers tail

All of the War Nickels have an abundance of die cracks, die chips, clashes, mortar sets, planchet flaws so are more interesting then valuable.

Machine Doubling isn't widely collected in Canada.

Lots of clashes available from the 60's although a close up of that one would be interesting to see.

Not much interest in dots other then the 47 and that is your most valuable coin out of this lot.

I hope you had fun going through them though. That's what it is all about!
