Mughal Indian Rupee Of Emperor Akbar?

Archraz Pillar of the Community United States 3499 Posts	Posted 03/01/2017 10:16 pm Hi everyone, I need a bit of help IDing what appears to be a square Mughal Indian Rupee of Emperor Akbar. I know that rupees of this ilk are often from the latter part of the sixteenth century. However, I do not see an AH date or anything else which seems to indicate the date. Any help IDing the date and mint of this rupee would be greatly appreciated! Report this Post to the Staff

Archraz Pillar of the Community United States 3499 Posts	Posted 03/02/2017 7:20 pm Update: This coin actually appears much like a Square Rupee of Akbar from the Fathpur Mint (KM#82.2). Here is a similar coin: https://db.stevealbum.com/php/lot_a...=1013&lang=1 However, the date on my coin appears to be (Possibly) "911", yet coins were not struck at this mint in this year.
