My name is Brian, I'm a retired Air Force TSgt with 20 years of service. I am fully disabled (but still able to function) and just wish the pain would go away. I started collecting coins/mint sets/proof sets about 4 years ago. This is the first forum that I have joined. I am a hobby collector that buys when I can get the funds from my commander-in-chief (wife). I live in a small town in the Thumb of Michigan called Bad Axe (not bad butt as some think I say over the phone). Edited by retiredairforce2009

Howdy Brian,  to the family! Bad Axe huh, there's a coin dude in TN who bought big time a bunch of coins from someone there. So I won't tell you to fly away, since you said you weren't the driver, how about , go fly a kite? I shouldn't joke, I was a fixer of A6A Intruders in USMC myself. I too am disabled but not service related, know what you mean about pain...have my "been there" t-shirts", Hope you have a good VA close by. If you have questions, here's the place for answere...got camera buffs, computer geeks and all sorts of dealers and numismatic experts to give a few opinions. |

Thank you all for such a warm welcome. I would always have CCF threads come up on a Google search for various coins but never really gave it a thought to join. I collect mostly mint and proof sets as a whole and not individual coins. I do check each set for varieties or errors whenever I get them. My main coin right now is the 1972 P penny that is possibly a DDO. What is nice is that I bought a second 1972 mint set just for a good envelope and it also might have a DDO penny. Waiting for more info to see if they are worth sending in. |
