I found this 1942 s quarter roll hunting today and it looks like there is an extra E to the left of the E in liberty can I get some opinions please

Not a DDO. I see what your seeing but it is an illusion. It is to small for one thing.Most likely a stain.

If the coin were double struck it might leave an extra letter. But it should be more of an extra letters issue in that case:
1942-S-Washington-Quarter-DDO
Note the extra 'E' on this coin, but note also there are extra other letters on it. I'm not seeing that on your coin. Also note that the extra looking 'E' on your coin is smaller. If that area raised, incuse or level with the field?
