Are we looking at something in the early to mid 1960s? If so, that would be due to Die Deterioration. (Master Die Deterioration? Someone will correct me.) The dies were replaced in the late 1960s, so there is less apparent creep towards the edges by the lettering.

It also looks a little like a Dryer Coin. Is the edge flat or is it rounded?

It's not a Dryer Coin.
Many of the cents from the late 1960's looked that way.

Yes it does, especially in the second set of pictures. I think that may be due to a slightly misaligned die.

It was because of a master hub that was breaking down. So they created a new master hub in 1969.
