Good evening all. So I don't know what category to post this under?Is this an error?I believe this is an inverted S.Is this because they were punched by hand?

it may be called a variety, so this is the proper section.

Nope, it ain't the 006, but has to be the 018 or 014, the 006 has an extra portion on the lower ball serif going NW OP's doesn't. Because of MM placement think it's 014.

How do you figure? according to Lincoln Cent resources, styles 004 and 006 were used in 1945. Style-014 was used from 1990-1999

Crazybo am I looking at it wrong or does it list 014 as being used on 90-99 proofs ?Or am I not seeing a full list for 1945?

Here is the listing of the 'M' Mint mark styles:

It is a normal mint mark for the 1945 year, MMS-006 ball serif coin. There were also MMS-004 that year also.
