Interesting, the thing that worries me about the OP Coin is the O/D looks like a replica of a 1934 3d O/D,if Mint staff were playing around with a 1933 Shilling Die surely the remnants of the final 3 would be different.
I surprised Peter Andrews didn't mention the 'F' word as most Dealers & Numismatists were aware of manipulated 1934 3d O/D Coins although I haven't heard it mentioned much over the last 20 years.

I would be very interested in seeing some posts of this replica shilling to compare with the one I have posted. If they are not hard to find I would like for people to post their pics of this "F" coin. looking forward to seeing them. Then we can put this article to bed.

Yeah, interesting Coin,if your feeling brave get a Jeweller with one of those tiny torches to heat the end section of the "Ö/D" to see if it melts or is indeed part of the Coin.

Might be interesting to analyze the overdate area with polarized light.

Yeah,or an X-Ray,I'm sure there would be a sophisticated method to determine if the O/D was added post Mint.
On the fake 3d the material used just ran when heat was applied leaving the smooth base surface but it would be a shame to ruin the Shilling if its genuine.
