You're really not giving us much to work with here, are you? Maybe 3/4 of what we need?
I think I see cladding, so it could be anywhere from 1965-1998. Maybe a quarter guy will know if there are subtle differences in the designs over the years.

I can't imagine what date a clad quarter would have to be to have any value at all in that shape.

The Canadian cent is worth C$0.01. It looks to be an ex-jewelry piece.

Cent looks plated and quarter if silver has melt value. If clad it has no value.

The quarter is worth a quarter, even if silver in my opinion.

As for the cent, is it silver in color?

If you really care I might be able to narrow it down a little more but it looks like 84 to 87 to me.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.
Rest in Peace

nss-52 the penny is plated shiny silver over copper cent, plating most likely stainless steel/chromium, notice 4-90 degree mounting points, quarter is so deteriorated not even worth melt if silver which is doubtful it is due to deteroration pattern, was buried.

Even this deteriorated 3/4th of a quarter dollar coin would have value in the silver (if it were indeed a silver coin).

If this is a clad coin I would just toss it in the garbage. Easy come, easy go, since you just found it on the ground ("pick up this quarter").
