In having trouble putting a value on this note.Its in very rough shape but has a lower serial number. Can anyone help me out a bit?

000823 is low-ish, but generally low is considered to be 2 digits, at least on notes from the past 100 years. But you probably already knew that. Will let the experts chime in.

Regardless, that's a very cool note you have there! Lincoln just looks cool in that portrait. And cearly someone thought it was worth $60.

Kelly shows one other $5 type 2 but this is in pretty rough shape. Great charter number.

Type 2 notes are scarcer because they were issued for a shorter period than the Type 1's.

I'd estimate your notes value at $60 to $75

Indeed a super charter number! Rare as it is per se, probably not worth a great deal in this condition.
