Considering buying this. Thoughts on grade and problems appreciated. TPG grade and price in 48 hours. Thanks! AU50 obv, AU58 rev, net AU55. Surface hairlines in the fields. Good strike. Appears to have a "pimple" on her bottom lip. The areas around the hair ribbon and directly right of the forelock/nose bridge would be my most immediate areas of concern. If I owned this one, I'd display it reverse-mounted (i.e. reverse side up.)

Interesting how much difference in wear there is between obverse and reverse--wonder if the reverse was somehow protected. Love the toning on the reverse. I'd say AU-55.

Toning may hide some distractions. Apparent cleaning effort in right obverse field which may have created the hairlines. Perhaps technically a 58 but I wouldn't be surprised to see it in a 62 holder. Beautiful example.

That half has a lot going for it. I need one for my Type set, if you choose not to purchase it. I would her an AU55.

I bought it yesterday. Will post pics when in hand. I'll examine it in hand before deciding if I want to keep it. I just got a couple of disappointing BQs with pictures that were overly embellished. Thanks for sharing your thoughts to all.
Btw, any thoughts on what you feel a fair price for this is?

Will post that tonight. What do you think the grade is?

...and who graded it? There can be a large gap between TPGers.

It's definitely a higher au coin. It's challenging to grade beautifully toned coins like this. Might push ms but the missing 'L' in liberty on the obverse is a concern.
