Two coins. I'm thinking 1983D-1MM-001 for the first one.

Unsure on the second. Maybe 1983D-1MM-003?

Thanks!

Sorry pix aren't good enough for those RPM's, need very fine detail. Don't think it's 001, see no hint of split upper serif, have a die crack running E-W through hair on 003? That may be a marker, otherwise the notching not showing on your pix?

The first one reminded me of one that the plating was rolling over from the center vertical line.

On mine, the gray zinc was showing. But I agree the images are too small.

I'm really going to need a scope. Can you guys recommend one that won't break the bank?

Here are a few more pictures:

Druu, got mine on Amazon for $45. Was just called USB Microscope Camera, no manufacturer listed which is weird. But it works fine for this kind of stuff. Just have to sometimes figure out light sources, background lighting, direct. I'll send you an email tomorrow w/ pix of setup and description, on tablet now. Mines on a stand, just like your high school microscope, only thing I modified was the upright. Extended it so could get solar size coins in frame...otherwise takes only closeup portions. Other scope cameras coe with jointed stands or are handheld, need some kind of stand.

Druu,
Here is one link http://goccf.com/t/239173
You can get one for under $20 or up to the sky. You need to decide what you want to pay first. A scope has it's own set of problems you know. It should go down to 5x and no more than 200x. You will have problems with the lights on the scope. I had to cover all but one on my scope and cover that one with a filter.

I don't think your pictures need to be to much bigger (but that would help a tad) it is the fact that they are blurry/pixelated.
