Hey found this in a roll dont know what to make of it . Maybe a more experienced eye could help

Both sides? Looks plated/painted. If plating gone, then should be able to get thin knife blade under remaining and pick off. Could als be acid etching soak.

Heres the reverse guys , looks dipped almost pretty even on both sides .. plus has thin edge.

Thanks for the pics!

Based on that and the edge description, I have to think that it was partially dipped in acid that removed the copper plating equally on both sides and that explains the rim being noticeably thinner.

I'd wait for more experienced folks to comment though.

That was what I expected. It was dipped into something that removed the plating. What? That is a good question.
