Strange Marking Under Liberty On 1983 Lincoln Cent

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 03/09/2017 5:14 pm Looks like someone poked the coin with a needle and the split plating allowed air to get to the zinc. Then the coin swelled and then fell down again. Probably hollow under that area now. Report this Post to the Staff

But, that still probably means zinc rot, if not now then in the near future!
