I won this in a recent online auction and it arrived today.
Bought and shipped below spot price.

Mexico 1821-1947 50 Pesos. According to Krause, it was produced in 1943

If Krause states that it was produced in 1943, that makes no sense.

My 2005 Krause says that this is type K481, and that most restrikes were dated 1947.

It also give a listing for another type K482 dated 1943, but no illustration is given for this type.

oops, you are right on this one being made in 1947 and being KM #481 but I think its a restrike since the edge has lettering and not reeds.
my Krause actually has an image of KM #482 and it has dates 1821 - 1943 on it.

Very nice! 1.2 ounces of gold in hand must feel amazing. Coincidently, I am in the market for one of those myself. Provident sells XF+ usually around spot +$20. Mind if I ask where yours came from? Thanks.

Very nice coin! A true treasure, just the heft of these is very pleasing. Looks like it's a deep yellow one too, I have noticed that some have a slight rose gold color, love em all!
