I was comparing how some of my old notes smell, most smell slightly musty as expected. Then I smelled this gold ten which looks fairly clean except for a stain spot which is rust colored. The entire note smells like what I would best describe as a funky slightly bleach smell, almost like clothes that sat in a washer too long before being dried. God I hope it's still worth something as I gave at least fifty bucks for it. What do y'all think?

That does not sound good, I know a picture cannot communicate a smell, but could you show us a pic?

If it is really bad, perhaps a quick bath in distilled water might help?

Probably stored in an old PVC holder at one time. As long as it is not "oily" looking, or has an "oily" feel, it is probably not damaged. I've had good luck with notes like this by just airing them out for a few days.

Good advice.

May we see a pic, please.
