Hi all, found this 1985 no mint mark penny. Looks to have two heads. Would like some insight from you all.

Thank you
Havok

Just another vise job. 2 coins squeezed together in a vice. Looks like the vice jaw mark on your coins obverse.
Rest in Peace

I never thought about using a vice. So after reading your alls opinions I have some questions.

1. Vices have teeth or smooth faces. The groves that would indicate a vice with teeth was use correct?
2. If that were the case where is the indentation of the teeth on the rim of the coin? Surely since as member pointed out the coin, when pressed was "miss aligned" the rim of the coin would have such marks?

Thanks again for you time,
Hav ok

4 years or 4 mins and who could tell the difference? Can I just comment on really the only thing that ever stands out , at least to me , when reading the responses from the "experts" to everybodies questions concerning their coin in question? Its sad and laughable how far ouit of your way you will all go , even calling on your fellows to follow suit , to laugh his pathetically fake or worth less than face value coin right into the cat litter take outs. I cant really say any coin guy iv come into contact with has ever made me feel comfortable, but like huh gives .?Lets be real now ....great hobby . open to the public . And truth is if you all were a bit more fiendly and encouraging or at least capable of giving an honest unbias opinion with the decencecy of anybody really ,the hobby would be bigger and value of coins would only go up so more people could enjoy the hobby without being turned off every time they try to show a little respect and inquire the opinion of someone with alot of expierience. I mean if you dont like talking coins or cant answer the questions that may come from real answers than again huh? sorry iv been wanting to get that off my chest.Hopefullky I didnt huirt anybodies feelings . and as usuall in hind sight ill likely see my wrongs . and mispelled words . but for both they will remain un corrected . take care fellas . still love yall like grandps

Many vises have brass plates in the jaws to protect the piece being clamped, or something else could have been used to protect the coin. A stack of coins may even have been hit with a hammer instead of being in a vice, many ways damage can happen.

Note the position on the reverse head. It is mirrored. So it was transferred off another coin in a vise as mentioned. If it were from the die the direction would be correct.
