I thought maybe I would get cleaner pictures I guess but this didn't work.

No, just kidding. I was out digging in the mud and had to get my jeans in the washer quick, forgot my camera was in my pocket.
Amazingly, the SD card still produced all 300 + images stored on it but ... I'm sort of happy about this. I wanted a new camera anyway.

UPDATE:
I went on Amazon and bought just a tad better Canon PowerShot ELPH 190.
While these two cameras are nothing exceptional. I had a chance to compare the two at Walmart tonight as they were display models and functioning. I am only going to get maybe a 15% better picture with the blue one I bought. I could see a difference taking pics right there at the store of close ups with both of them.
Walmart was sold out. But I did get to see some funny people.

I'm sticking with this since I already have the SD cards, battery, charger, and usb cable.

Haven't you learned yet, you always check your pockets for change before you wash.

Hello my good friend mcshilling.
Same thing my wife said! I don't do wash usually. I wanted to do her a favor and get my jeans clean quick before the knees stained brown with mud. It's OK. At least I didn't clean coins.

TheNickelGuy have you thought about trying a DSLR canon camera. that camera probably performs very well. I have tried various camera. the biggest think with coin photography is lighting. I will post a image taken with a sony camera. I can do the very same with a canon or a nikon camera. I used 2 lights the second light is a new bulb. I am trying I have heard so much about this new color spectrum. so I thought I would try it. the second light is shining at the bottom of this slabbed coin. tell me what you think

That's a beautiful capture there rocky.
I already bought a camera. I have started to dabble with lighting.
I agree, lighting is probably the whole key to this.
