I saw this penny and I just put it under my loupe to admire it's beauty, and I saw this line. Is this really a die crack on the new 2017?

Really hard to tell, looks like it was scratched though. Would be kind of unusual for it to be out in the middle like that.

I'd say it is - I've found die cracks on LMC's just out in the "open" plenty of times but mostly on the reverse.

I doubt there is any premium on that cent as the crack is very small.

You might get lucky on 5.00. The 2017-P error coins are selling + some low some ridiculously high just because it's the first LC with the P mm since I don't know a couple hundred years. And if it is out there in the middle like that - it sure is different.

I haven't had time to look up the info yet. But at one point I thought the regular business strike cents had a P.

Not different, actually common, but mostly I've found them on the reverse - here's a couple I found yesterday. First one 1983, second one 1982 zinc large date.

I would have to see closer image to tell for sure. I've not seen a die crack like that before on the columns and the bays?
