PS - I just noticed the highest part of the king's hair above his ear looks like it's worn in the photo, but that is just glare. In hand the detail of his hair is perfect.

Based on the description and the photos it looks MS, i'll take a stab at 64, but let the experts chime in. The toning is very nice!

I'am seeing wear on the unicorn & lions hip and legs, love the toning but I think it would be hard pressed to reach AU. Great looking coin all the same.
Cheers, Bill

Ticks in left obverse field hold it to 63; I see no wear at all personally.

Is that a die crack through the crown? Looks like au55 to ms60 to me.

Many thanks all. I'll call it an AU-55 as a consensus average. Good spot pginrh - that is a die crack that starts at the Union Jack runs through the crown all the way to the fleur de lis. Doesn't show up very well in the pics. Makes me love this coin even more.

Just an update - the crack is actually a die clash "die clash on reverse #1186" according to Coins and Canada. Can you confirm this as the correct designation pgrinh? Thanks in advance. Love my coin with new ardor.

Pretty sure that this is the die crack that Hans Zoell catalogued as variety FL444n. In its later die state it does spread to the rim on the left. It is not a die clash. Looking at my earlier die state coin and it matches yours.

Thanks pginrh. I will note that variety on the 2x2.
