I see the hit, but I'm also not sure if it was a filled mint mark before the hit.

I agree with Druu. Think I see a contact mark that may have occurred on a filled mint mark. Contact mark is circulation damage and the other is die damage in that the center post that forms the inner part of the MM has chipped away or broken off the die.
