When I first looked at this I figured it was linear plating lines that we see so much of. But what do you guys think?

I have not seen one in this location or this long on any shield cent.

Thanks coop, just wanted to make I had it right. Also, have some Feeder Finger / Die Scrapes but this time I have some that are under the ribbon as well. Up until now that I have seen have all been above the ribbon.

The feeder finger scrapes were probably not the issue that caused the die to crack. (angle of the feeder finger scrapes are in a glancing movement). Probably the crack happened from making the lower bust area to form and it gave away during a strike that occured several strike back. It is getting worse, but probably thousands of coins have already been struck by the time your coin was struck. (the event is was continuing to get worse with the more coins struck)

Thank you Mike, Thank you Joe.

Thanks 11997755 - I was hoping you would chime in. You search a lot than I do and mostly cents. So this is kind of cool then having a new die crack location on shield reverse.

Edit: hopefully uruman will chime in as well he searches a lot of cents.

Thanks uruman, have you seen any die cracks up in that location on any of your shield cents? I ran through some of your posts and didn't see anything.
