With winter over now the spring rain for a while so it gives me time to go through some of my coin boxes that I put things in when I'm in a hurry then never look at for 4-5 years as well as the 1979 Canadian penny that I think is on a New Zealand Planchet I also come across these coins in the same box a 1952 penny with a pretty strong die clash on the Obverse and slightly on the Reverse

This is a coin that I must have found in my change its a 1989 1 cent with lots of things going on with it that I can't explain keep in mind that there is other damage on the coin, I have checked lots of variety sites with no luck for info.
I believe it is not a fabrication but a real mystery to me it weighs 2.5g.

Spp might have to help me out on this one or anyone else can chime in at anytime with comments please do.
I'll supply pictures if more are needed of different areas let me know I'll try and take them I only have a scanner for pictures.

That might explain the damage on the center of the obv and rev lol but the rim is what I'm talking about and just ahead of the rim on the fields that part is molded higher and on the rim as well there are places where it is raised higher that almost look like pieces of letters.
I'll add a few more close ups of the area I'm meaning maybe I'm wrong but it looks like mint luster in the lower areas of the rim but maybe it is pressed as Okie thinks?

I spent some time looking for possible answers to this coin the only thing that I found was an article about Strike Errors, Rim restricted Design Duplication is it possible that this might be one those coins or as Okie has indicated a form of back yard work?
What's your take on this SPP
