Picked up a Dansco 7181 ASE album the other week and started the fun task of filling it up. I didn't realize how hard it is to find spot/nick free raw ASE's. Recently used my ebay bucks to get a nice 96 for 32$ total cost. So far I've got an 86,89,96,08,09,11,14,15,16 - 23 more to go. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

hmmmmm, that's nice! Are you collecting proofs as well?

Quote: Are you collecting proofs as well? Thanks all for your kind replies - no on the proofs. Out of my price range at the moment plus I don't like putting proofs in an album, the fields seem to scratch too easy.

Enjoy the hunt!
I find that I can generally get very nice bullion ASEs at my LCS for spot + a few bucks each. They always have tubes of shiny ASEs and they don't seem to mind if I carefully go through them and cherry pick the dates I need.

Very nice. I prefer the Littleton album though as it can impart very nice colors over time.

What is going on with the 1989 reverse? It looks like a PCGS label stuck to the coin.

@Mark....Should you choose to add proofs to your collection in the future they do make an album that doesn't scratch the coins. This is a lousy picture (looks so much nicer in person) and the 2012 ASE has since been replaced with one without the toning but you can at least get an idea of how the proofs / BU look together all together. Enjoy finishing your set! Looks very nice.

I use the CAPS Album also. I've been very happy with it. Its big, but the visibility of the coins and the storage in airtites is very nice.

Thanks everybody. Once I get the 3 I am missing I will attempt a post with nicer pictures of the completed version. I debated on taking my proofs out of the OGP but Celtic Knot and Cascade gave me a little "nudge" in a post long ago.
