Hi there,

Just starting to collect coins at the age of 40.. This coin has a very regular small mark and I wondered if it could be some type of a strike error. I know virtually nothing and welcome your feedback.

Thanks!

Nate

Looks like a short reeding hit from the edge of another coin.

Thank you. Is that from the mint or later on? If it's from the mint, does it change the value of a coin?

It really only matters if it happens during the strike to be a "mint error". Coins being hit by other coins don't really count as errors, no matter where the hit actually happened.
