That is a pretty cool 3D effect on the MM. I'd keep it, too.

Thanks for the links cwb. I don't know much about the machinery but, I'm guessing the slide doubling (and maybe push doubling, too) is caused by the die not being seated securely allowing for lateral/rotational shifting?

I'm not 100% sure what causes it, but I know the die (usually the hammer die) moves after the initial strike, dragging the devices across the surface, giving a smeared look to them.

While they look like die flow lines, they aren't. It is call metal striation from the movement of the die. Kind of like the movement of a knife across soft butter. You can see the striation lines in the butter when the know is slid over the surface. It is the lines on the edge of the dies device that made these lines.

i find it odd that the only part of the coin that looks that way is the mm you would think it would be on all devices. Fioti are you talking about the Lincoln avatar?
