Have just won this coin on an online auction for $8 and am wondering what is its worth and if I've got anything good here.

It's labelled as a 1967 ICG MS67 RD Penny and I have found those for sale on ebay for anywhere from $18 to over $200.

Can anyone help me out?

to CCF. ICG is not one of the top 3 TPG's so I would not trust the grade. Your pics are to small to grade the coin. Here is a value for a true MS67 http://www.coinprices.org/cgi/coinp...proof=&plus=

So MS64 is the lowest grade that's worth more than face value, right? Do you think it's at least an MS64, or have I wasted 8 bucks? Once the coin arrives if I post a higher quality pic will that help? Thanks :)

I've found IGC Lincoln slabs to be pretty accurate. However, an ICG 67 could be a PCGS 66. While ICG is not considered in the top 3, they do a pretty good job IMO. I own quite a few ICG slabbed coins. I'd say you got a good buy at $8 if it's a nice coin. These are pretty hard to find in the higher grades. As we always say: "Buy the coin and not the holder!".

My first reaction is to leave it in the slab, but What type of set are you building?

Will these pics do? Don't seem to be getting very good lighting. This doesn't look like a MS67 at all... did not realise that until I took the pics. Wonder if the scratches on the slab are causing any of that...

@jbuck: I'm just a penny collector... am not quite sure what specifically I'd like to collect though. Have to admit I only got this because it seemed like a good buy.
