Worn copper alloy 17th century coin weight from Antwerp. Square in plan, the obverse shows the hand of Antwerp, the reverse shows a shield with three fleur de lis. The weight is 14.56mm long, 12.92mm wide, 0.96mm thick and weighs 0.90g or 13.9 grains. The maker's initials are worn, but are possibly BB for Bernaert Bommaerts, 1610-1650.See Withers, 1985, Lions, ships and angels, page 60.
