Thought this looked like it could be an RPM. Also, what do you make of the other little mark above the A. Mini D? The RPM in question is in between the R and D.

Can you get a closer shot of the actual mint mark?

That "thing" above the A in quarter sure looks like a D mint mark but it's too small and is likely a one of a kind or maybe a small die chip. For that alone it's worth holding onto. I'd be very interested to hear if this has been seen before or if it's just PMD.

Just a die dot (die dots are damage on the die that is incuse. this creates a raised are on coins struck) that looks like the shape of a 'D'. The size is the give away as no part of the design is there a 'D' that small. Just the eyes figuring out what it might be.
