Absolute forgery. Already reported in the counterfeit forum.

And in regards to GSC not selling fakes intentionally, that is false. They absolutely knowingly sell them, as they have repeatedly reposted counterfeits that have been taken down. And considering they have an ebay handler who informs them of their problematic listings. they are reposted with willful intent.

Bobby reported it. It is still on GSC's auction. Hopefully it is removed soon.

Counterfeit for sure. In addition the strong bottom on the "N", the relief appears to be too high on a coin that has been worn down to G-VG. I think you are looking at some artificial wear and toning on a counterfeit coin.

Definitely no good.

On a side note it is amazing how many high dollar uncertified 1877 Indians are on ebay. Check out this raw Uncirculated Red Brown piece already shilled up to $2800 with 5 days+ to go!

The perfectly uniform color on both surfaces is a dead giveaway that it's a messed with piece. That and the fact that it's purportedly a $3000 coin being sold by "coinsandcards" with no certification of any kind. The underbidder bidder has a feedback score of (2) and 58% of their bids with this seller as well. It smells really really bad.
