Very nice old notes Fiddler.These show lot's of history by circulating from one hand to another.

The 20 francs notes shows scenes from the Bretagne (Brittany) region. According to this page http://imunier.free.fr/Collections/...rance-P2.php they depict: On the obverse, a fisherman pulling a cord, with the port of Concarneau in the background. The other side shows two women in traditional regional habits - one from Quimper, and one (with the child) from Pont-l'Abbe. In the background and on the right, the church and the calvaire of Penmarch. (There are many of those calvary cross sculptures in Brittany.) The watermark is supposed to show Anne de Bretagne, but I cannot recognize her in the picture ...

Christian thanks for that link unfortunately I don't read French. But judging by the pictures the 10 franc I have is a type 1915 with the signatures of a 41? what's up with that?
