Looks fake to me. Look at the s in TRVST? The thick and mis-shaped Motto. The rays look too blunt. The initials are way too bold. Polished appearance.

It looks like a pretty undisturbed D mintmark if you magnify your page. I just don't like that coin at all any way.

TNG, No D in 1928, only VERY COMMON S...notoriously the S is removed to make a "rare" low mintage 1928P!

And I'm no expert on these either!

This coin should sell for $1000 in this grade ( Red Book)!

Kinda looks like the 8 on the obverse was altered also, possibly was a 26-D coin

Looks more like an S now that you say that. I guess it's a real Peace dollar tho. I'm taking my gif out and saving for a better occasion. LOL

That TRVST just fades away and gets smaller as you read it tho don't you think?

This is what I saw, see the dark "S", is what remains when polished off, ruined a nice $40 coin!

I have this coin as a Stone Cold CLEANED round thing.

My general rule of thumb is when a seller puts GEM or Trends on a flip or BS grading case, of a rare date coin and then added a Red Book blow your brains out price, the seller is not worth visiting.
