last night my sister in law came in to where I was watching tv and handed me a bag of coins.
she said look through these and tell me what you think.

I opened the bag , it had silver and clad halves.
Kennedy , Franklins , an Walking .
I have not really looked through the dates , but some of the walking the date is rubbed off, the Frank is very good and the Kennedys clad as for as I no.
I remember that a lady paid my father in law for floor covering and I looked through them.
I told my wife I would love to have the silver coins but do not want my SinL to just give them to me.
Problem is I have no money to pay her .
would guess that the Kennedys are 1967 to 1985 , best I remember.
They are about $200 in kennedys. How would you sale them or what ever to get rid of them ?

If there are any 1964 Kennedys they can be sold to a dealer for probably $5-$5.50 apiece.
The silver clad kennedys (1965-1970) are worth about $2.50 in melt, but dealers won't pay more than about $1.90 for them. The rest of the Kennedys would be worth face (unless there are some errors mixed in ) and can be cashed in at any bank.

What does your sister-in-law want to do with them?

I'm sure there are some members here that would pay you more than a dealer or silver buyer would.

she wants me to get rid of them for her, like I said I just do not have the money.
I'm sure if I told her I wanted them she would just give them to me but I can't do that to her.
There about ten walking one with no date , thought they were more. And about 15 franks all in 196? era.
I have not looked at them .Also a few kennedys 40% silver.
But I am going to buy the 2 1964s

I think I have the post numbers to sale on the site.

The walkers and franklins I'd think you could find a buyer at $210 ($214 is 13x FV) to $250 (247.50 is 15x).. quick sell to dealer would prob be $160-170..

im not sure what the 40% are selling for these days.. check out completed listings on ebay and see what people have been selling rolls for (20 coins)

Cuzzx, if you could get pics up, we could give you a hand. I don't see any reason to keep the 64 Kennedys over two Walkers. Collectively, there were over 425 MILLION 1964 Kennedy halves minted in Philly and Denver. Those are super common in junk bins. Were I in your shoes (limited to buying two halves), I'd surely go for Walkers or Franklins. If you want to email me full sized pics of those, I can suggest which to keep. (I've been cherrypicking Walkers on ebay for the past month plus.)

As for the clad halves, search them for errors. I have a buyer on ebay that [can I say that word?] LOVES them. Got $25 for a particularly strong die clash. Slap the errors on ebay.
