I see it, on the lower E, upper P and lower L very well. Other letters seem OK as well but can't really tell on stalks and dot, but seems right.

Thanks Crazyb0, always good for me to get confirmation on these. Wish it was in better shape, but still makes my day!

Hey CM Welcome Back :)

I think it may be 1943 1¢ WDDR-015 the E in the EPU doesn't look the same.

Need some more close ups though.

My mistake I was looking at Wexlers WDDR-001 instead of coppercoins. It really threw me when I saw Crazb's image because It didn't look like the image at all that I saw on Wexler's. Then I notice it was from cc's website.

Also check for the extra eye lid for the W DDO

Everyone should have your work ethics, CC. No wonder you have come so far so fast. I will check for the eye lid. Thanks for your help.

Here is the FS-801 with a side by side of the same die was Wexler's WDDR-001:

Not the same reverse die was the OP's coin.

Mr. Wexler's FS-801 looks to my eye to have much stronger doubling than what Coppercoins is showing for the 001. My brain tells me that is not the case though. My coin does seem to have moderate extra thickness at the dots, outside wheat ears, stems and motto - more than just wear. Could it be another die or should I spend it?

It is still a Wheat cent. You don't spend wheat cents. (well I don't)

Yup, you put them in boxes and stack them in the closet. When the closet starts getting full..find someplace else to put the cloths.

Hopefully they aren't brilliant uncirculated, as they would have been re-processed. The origninal 1943 were dull in color. Steel coated with zinc. Even a high grade one won't be shiny:
