It's in pretty bad shape. Unfortunately I feel you over paid!

I think you way overpaid for it because it is in such a low grade.

Ouch!

Very tough note in Fine or better grades, not sure of the value in this condition, but I don't think you overpaid.

A 1928 $2 LT Star (Fr.1501*) sells for about $250 in VF condition.
The OP's note looks to be in Good* condition. So, $50 sounds fair to me.

It's a $1,500 to $2,000 note in CH-CU.

Unless prohibitively rare, notes in this diminished condition hold little attraction for collectors - they are basically worn out and dirty-looking. In this instance, a couple of hundred bucks more will land a bright VF note with good eye appeal - this is not much of an obstacle to an early star note collector.

I think you paid fair money, but I don't see much upside to be honest.

One of the more common stars but I think you did okay. Just like mkman123 said, as long as you like it you did well.
Rest in Peace

Today I'm turning a page.. had a good night's sleep and decided to try let it go.

I need to focus more on condition, maybe like 30's - 50'.
I assume it will be much more costly but feel like it would draw more attention/$ and last longer.

Thanks for the epiphany.
