Lots of dings, but very little wear. I'd say AU, but it may have "remarks" or "comments" on it about the digs/dings. I wouldn't cert it.

VF 30 Details , but doubt it would straight Grade at any of the Major US services. Has the look of a coin that had PVC improperly dealt with and has retoned. Still a decent key Date coin.
Personally the 1945 Silver Dollar is a favourite . IMHO the 1945 Dollar is as UNDERRATED as the 1948 IS OVERRATED.

 ..to CCF, enjoy your stay with us...  It's called a 'details' coin because of the rim dings and marks it wouldn't get a straight grade from a TPG |

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I didn't think it was in great condition, but knew it was relatively rare, so just wanted some input. My dad had a couple silver dollars hanging around from when he was a kid, so gave them to me.

All 45 dollars have some extra value. Yours is still a very nice 45 and a keeper by just being a 45.
Get all of your remaining coins into protective 2 x 2 clear flips or 2 x 2 white cardboard holders. They do their job and protect your coins very well and they are no cost..
Get them at any coin shop for pennies..
