I was browsing through the internet when I discovered that you can verify/search PCGS certification numbers. This did wonders when it came to valuing stabbed coins. I actually ended up finding this being sold on ebay, in its original holder, for less than $20. On heritage, this coin sold for $276.

@RCB, that would be quite a bargain indeed. I hope that this is the coin that you actually receive!

Not gonna be such a bargain.

This is gonna go for $200-300. Doubt it is going to be a bargain. I promise that I won't bid on it.

I don't have that much experience on ebay... I've bought less than 30 items and sold less than 30 as well... But what I have noticed is that most of the bidding happens in the last few hours.... Something could be worth $1000 and still have a bid of $2 until the day the auction closes then it becomes a feeding frenzy...

Normally the vast majority of bids come within the last 10 minutes....I watch bidding with a few minutes left and it spikes a lot with 30 seconds remaining

Yeah, maybe this will be a reoccurring thing. I used to think that I could actually get that 1801 AU58 half eagle for a mere $10.

In auctions, it doesn't really help you to put in your top bid a week ahead of time. All it does is tell others exactly what they will have to bid to beat you. This is why Heritage's Live Proxy is my preferred way of putting in bids. Its open at least an hour before and you can put in your top bid and it will not move the current bid until the auction is live.
