I'd call it VF-30, maybe 35. It looks basically OK but I wonder about those pimples by Liberty's legs. They might be caused by a rusted die. They could be old pinholes that displaced metal and then were smoothed down by circulation wear. Or, they could be defects indicating this is a cast counterfeit. Can you check the weight? A genuine 1855-O half in VF grade should weigh around 12.3 grams.

I'd say VF25-30 and with the cleaning it should go in a details holder. As a VF Details piece the value would top out around 50 USD retail.

I agree with vf dets and looks cleaned. The pimples are concerning as they don't look like die rust to me. There is also a scratch on the head where there should be a hairline. I would look to see if there atr die varieties with those 'pimples' on liberty.
