This 1886 Morgan dollar has some wicked clashing going on, haven't VAMmed it yet. I highly doubt it's BU as the old envelope states, but it looks like it could be anywhere from AU details to MS63-MS64. Seller pictures, let 'er rip, CCF, what am I going to end up with here? Looks 63. There are some significant hits and abrasion on the cheek. The fields look really nice and clean. The cartwheel is a little weird and not what I would expect, so a little suspicious, but I will give it the benefit of the doubt until in-hand pics.

The reverse looks nice and is a good clash. I'm suspicious of the obverse. There's the entire upper area that is dark and out of focus to wonder about and I see a lot of hairlines SW of the jaw that continue onto the bust. Depending on what's going on there it could be MS Details. Otherwise, it does look lower MS.

The reverse looks to be MS64+ It has a few issues above the left wing but could be lighting. The front could be very nice as well, but has me wondering why not take a pic like the reverse. I'm a gambler and would of bought it as well. Good luck!

From those pictures, I would be at MS-63 (with no call on surface originality).

Seller should have taken pics straight on vs the angle he took to try and make it "shiny", but all the better for you. Congrats
