Hello, it's me and in case you were wondering, I am doing well and still into coins big time!
There was a coin show in Schaumburg, IL a couple weeks ago and I got myself some treats from there, including a dansco 7070 (finally). There was a dealer that had 8 ancient coins and he wanted $8 for all of them, and I got the price down to $5 for all. Now I think I really enjoy ancients, although I am having hard time IDing them. I got to ID 4 of them thanks to numista. I kind of stopped collecting US coins due to key dates and the expensive silver coins that I need and I ventured off to world coins. I especially enjoy the USSR and old Russian coins, WW2 and before Germany and Austria Habsburg coins (I can post pics if you want). I am afraid to buy ancient coins due to them being faked often or that simply nobody sells them. So if anyone has some that are just collecting dust, please contact me and we might be able to arrange something.

I also have some great new about school. I got accepted into the nursing program and I am starting this fall, so wish me luck with that.

Hello There! Sounds as if you are doing good. Nursing school is hard due to the massive amount of memorization and new, (senior moment)ah, dialogue. I studied my wife through Respiratory Therapy and then Nursing. I had an excellent memory and basically could catch her misconceptions or alert her to protocol.

That was pre-radiation treatment.

Coins! I collect coins, too. I just recently picked up the California Diamond Jubilee Half Dollar Commemorative! I found a very fine(I think) example for under $90.

Take a new look at the US coins you need. You may find deals out there yet. Except for Eagles and Double Eagles.

Good luck!

(check which USSR coins are commonly faked, if you haven't done so yet, it's not only the 1924 rouble)

Now I'm worried that I have fakes in my collection
I have a couple dozen imperial coins and a good amount of soviet coins, including silver ones.
Rest in Peace

Hello! I figured that you were busy with work and school.

Good luck in the fall, although I don't think you'll need luck because you're very smart.
