Roman coppers aren't my bag, so the prospect of spending $7 for shipping from some dude in Serbia with only three pieces of feedback isn't for me. Since he is local to you, the calculus might be different.

Well, the prospective buyer's in Serbia, too. That said, not so far off Bulgaria has been notorious as a source of fake Romain coinage. You might want to take a look at the most recent post in the Fake Ancients sticky thread.

The particular coin in question may well be genuine, but I note that the strike's more or less perfectly centered on an almost too perfectly round flan, which makes me nervous.

There are a lot of really reputable European dealers in ancients on vcoins.com, which might be a safer route than somebody on ebay about whom you really can't tell anything.

I wanted to know the opinion about coin. The seller does not doubt for a minute, and also the originality of the coin.

I'm not sure then what you're specifically expecting to hear. If you're convinced it's authentic, and that the seller is legit, then by all means go for it. But most folks are going to evaluate a coin in an ebay auction based upon the totality of the circumstances under which it's being offered. I remain of the opinion that the coin itself doesn't look quite right, at least to my eye.

Coin is authentic. I'm beginning to doubt your ability to identify and assess, in relation to numismatics.

I have no hesitation with regard to the authenticity of the coin, It is a common Genio Populi Romani follis from Heraclea for Galerius as Ceasar. I don't like the amount of deterioration the lettering shows or the high points of the metal in general, and would not pay much for it. For that reason I would not grade it more than VG. Better examples are easy to come by and I would hold out for one worth more.

Of eight pictures of the coin, only two show us the reverse (about the same view), and nothing special there in those pics.
