Neither - it looks like a completely normal coin.

can you tell us where you are seeing doubling at please because I don't see any (I am no cent expert but doubling should be doubling no matter what coin its on)and maybe I can look at that particular area and not be looking at the whole coin looking for something

I *almost* see a RPM slightly to the north of the mint mark, but that's all I can see.

Actually guys... take a closer look at the D. There's inside splitting to the S.E. & a completely separated N.W. corner of the D. Could be normal, though doesn't look like it. I know the 50's coins have a lot of isues. Just looks like a minor RPM to me.

I'm disagreeing that this is the 1D0-002. That one only looks like a doubled eye.
I am agreeing with the inside splitting of the SE part of the mint mark.
If it's any of the RPMs listed, I'd guess the 1959D-1MM-040, but that one doesn't have the SE separation.

Your coin is not 1959D-1DO-001 or 1959D-1DO-002. In fact it is not a doubled die at all.

What do you expect when you keep posting pictures of ordinary normal coins? Your belligerence in the matter is getting rediculous...

The coin is not a doubled die. With respect to RPMs, it is definitely NOT...001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 006, 007, 008, 009, 010, 013, 014, 015, 017, 018, 021, 022, 023, 024, 025 thru 030.
etc. etc. and so on...
This looks like a normal 1959 D cent where the mintmark rests in a slight depression due to the way the MM was added to the die.
And...This looks nothing like Bob Piazza's picture.
Please think about this and reflect on it. The guy (coppercoins) that has 54 different 1959 D RPMs posted on his website has said that he sees nothing unusual about the coin. He has an even better trained eye than I have and mine is darn good. To contradict his thoughts on these just makes no sense.
One thing to add is that your photos have become excellent over time and that makes it easier for us to see what the coin looks like.
Thanks, Bill

Suggestion: I read what I read on the internet, particularly on forums where I'm hardly and nowhere near an expert on a subject/topic, as a resource of information, and try not to shoot the messenger.
Fact is, for me, that two things apply...it's up to each of us to determine the priority of them under which circumstances:
1. It's not what you say; but how you say it. 2. It's not how you say it; but what you say.
If anyone shoots me for yelling, shmoozing, crying, laughing, touchy-feely that 1+1=2, so be it. "1+1=2" is still a fact, regardless of how I express it.
