I purchased a Dansco 8102 (Memorial cents with proofs) from my LCS. Before I purchased, I asked to be sure it was an updated version with spaces for all the 2009 cents to which the answer was "yes." When I opened it tonight to transfer my cents from my old album I saw there were also spaces for 2010-2016 on the last page after all the 2009's . Does anyone else have this version? What did you uses as a "fix?" I'm wondering if it is worth the trouble to take it back or not. Edited by bd251 05/16/2017 9:12 pm

Well, that's gonna be really hard to fill! I've only ever seen 2010-2016 shield cents!

I just put the shield cents in those spaces and yes, I think they are all like that.

I think they changed it later, so the newest version ends with 2009. I would just put shield cents in the holes. 2017 will be the last year for the Lincoln Cent anyway.

Wouldn't that be nice... but of course we want them to continue in a numismatic-only capacity, or at least some of us do. In my 8100 the last page also goes all the way to 2016 with spaces for the PDS isues for all 4 2009 issues. The title of the page does say "Memorial". I do wonder if at some point there will be an update page since now this page can be considered complete and shouldn't change because of future issues.

That page you linked to is only labeled to 2009.

Yes, that is for those who do not want to collect shield cents or prefer to keep them in a separate album. The new version of the 8102 does this, the old version did not, it went to 2016.

Ah... I see... I think. In that case the 2009s should have their own label since they aren't LMCs. Whatever; I don't mean to pick nits.

No, you are right and I agree.
However, Dansco does what Dansco does (not).

Whatever; I don't mean to pick nits. That's a good point. I guess I always thought of them as a commemorative issue within the memorial series since the shield cents started in 2010. But now that I think about it, they might actually fit better at the start of the shield cents. 50 years wheat to 1958, 50 years memorial to 2008 so shield cents should start in 2009. Hmm...

That is how I treat them. I have the 2009 cents with the shields in a custom album (plain cent pages).
