If you regularly haul trays of Stellas to the local club show, you may want to consider something a little sturdier.
But I had no desire to take a trip to my local shop to pick up another coin tray. The last few times I tried that I got distracted and spent my allowance on a coin and still haven't got the tray I need.
And the tray I need is to sort my highly specialized collection - Foreign, copper, 20th century, animals, kangaroos (hopping left).

To begin, you'll need two things.
1) Standard size Saltine cracker box
2) Well stocked desk

What you eat is what you are, so I selected only the finest product for consumption, and believe it will reflect favorably on my coin collection as well.

Start by dumping out any loose salt.
Open seams.
Lay flat.
Draw cut lines.
All dimensions are 2", so a cardboard coin holder can be used.

Cut along the lines, save the end pieces to be used as dividers.
Make 3 folds along the middle of the large panels. In, out, in.
Staple, crimp, and tape - especially along the bottom seam to add strength.

Shazam!
Easily holds 150 coins.

Hop in.

Nice idea. There are a ton of make do boxes you can use. 2x2 photoslides boxes/trays work great. I find them at garage sales and thrift stores for under $1. I have two like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Logan-no-20...AOSw0hlZLg~~ that I got for 50 cents each.

NiclkelGuy... Too funny.
I'm going to pack snacks for the nieces and nephews like that.
But first a little peanut butter and jelly.

I personally have made a lot of boxes from scrap cardboard. I prefer the thicker cardboard as it is sturdier, but your solution is more clever and less labour intensive.
