just inherited this coin,along with many other coins.. and it doesn't sound anything like the other coins of close years..when it rattles on the glass table it certainly has a very different and distinct sound..

That's because 1858 and 1859 bronze cents are considerably thinner than 1876 and subsequent years...

The provincial cents are 1/3 thinner than those from '76 on.

Don't know yet...

Get rid of the brown,..blue.. and all of the white in your pics and just show a large, clear and sharp pic of both sides of this cent..

Just look at other large cent postings here,..and try to do the same..
We can identify this cent "if and when" we can properly see it..

Maybe you do have a special one here..?
