Got this $5 note in change today from the bank.. It has several swirl lines of BEP ink on the obverse side to the right of "States" under the "5" in the upper right corner.. there is also a horizontal line of this ink across the horizontal bar of the same "5".. Was wondering if anyone has seen this before.. the pattern looks familiar almost like a large 5 ..the ink appears to be a mix of green and black ink.. but you can tell that it is BEP ink from the during the printing process (perhaps transferred from another bill?).. The note is far from good condition.. just more curious if anyone knows what this may be? Thanks in advance.. :)
So after some further searching on ebay and other paper currency sites I found errors call back to front and front to back wet ink transfers .. which do get certified by TPG companies and do carry premiums depending on the severity of the error etc.. how is this different from those?
Gotcha.. thank you kindly.. I have some that I found in two straps of new series 2013 $1 notes.. I will try to post tomorrow.. it affected two sequential straps.. the first half of one strap and the second half of the other...
